Who am I? I'm a child of the 1950's. My sister and I were raised by a stay-at-home mom and hard working dad in northern Ohio near Cleveland. Ideal? Not at all! My musical influenceswas first my dad who sung bass in barbershop quartets. Though neither my dad or momwere musically educated, they both taught us harmonies, pitch and tempo while singingsongs on our long trips back to Ohio to visit relatives after moving to Illinois. I loved the music of our day; soundtracks to movies such as West Side Story, The Music Man and The Magnificent Seven. My pop influences were, of course,The Beatles! I was a teen in the 1970's and loved the rock and folk music of that time. The diversityof music at that time was amazing and gave me an appreciation for melody and lyriccontent. In 1971 I dedicated my life to Jesus Christ and never looked back. After thatwonderful day, he became my main influence for life and musically, as I wrote songsthat expressed my love for God and my need for him in my life.
